In Thursday's non-league contest, the visiting Franklin Flyers basketball team scored a big 62-35 triumph over the Elba Bluejays.

The Flyers (3-16) will now prepare for their contest against Axtell (Axtell, NE). The Wildcats go into the D1 District 9 contest with a 7-12 record. In their last contest, Axtell was trounced by Loomis (Loomis, NE), 69-65, in a non-league contest.
