February 13, 2025: Mt. Vernon, SD 57363 The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Ethan Rustlers (Ethan, SD) and the host Mt. Vernon/Plankinton Titans (Mt. Vernon, SD), observed Ethan's basketball team overwhelm Mt. Vernon/Plankinton by a score of 59-38.
The Rustlers (15-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Parkston (Parkston, SD). The Trojans come into the non-league challenge with a 16-2 record. In their last challenge, Parkston trounced Gregory (Gregory, SD), 53-19, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Titans battle the Bon Homme Cavaliers (Tyndall, SD) in a A Region 5 challenge, on Tuesday, February 18. Mt. Vernon/Plankinton will attempt to improve on its 15-4 season record. The Cavaliers come into the challenge with a 5-13 record after their 52-48 non-league loss to Platte/Geddes (Platte, SD).
