Illinois High School Basketball - Wheeling trounced by Hersey
February 14, 2025: Arlington Heights, IL 60004 Hersey Huskies (Arlington Heights, IL) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the visiting Wheeling Wildcats (Wheeling, IL), 64-41 in a league match.
With the victory, Hersey advances its record to 20-5 on the year. The Huskies host Carmel (Mundelein, IL) to face the Corsairs in a non-league match on Saturday, February 15. The Corsairs enter the match with a record of 10-17. Carmel lost 46-43 in their recent non-league match against Glenbrook South (Glenview, IL)
The Wildcats now own a 10-18 record. They put it on the line next when they host Harvest Christian Academy for a non-league match on Saturday, February 15. Wheeling will face a Lions squad coming off a 63-37 non-league loss to St. Francis (Wheaton, IL). The Lions record now stands at 12-18.
