Mankato West Scarlets (Mankato, MN) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Albert Lea Tigers (Albert Lea, MN), 77-27 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Mankato West upgrades its record to 13-5 on the season. The Scarlets travel to Mankato East (Mankato, MN) to play the Cougars in a AAA Section 2 bout on Friday, February 18. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 12-6. Mankato East won 78-45 in their recent non-league bout against John Marshall (Rochester, MN)

Next up, the Tigers play the Northfield Raiders (Northfield, MN) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 18. Albert Lea will attempt to upgrade on its 1-18 season record. The Raiders go into the bout with a 9-12 record after their 71-68 non-league loss to Austin (Austin, MN).
