Alaska High School Basketball - Kenai Central nips Homer
February 15, 2024: Homer, AK 99603 Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Kenai Central Kardinals (Kenai, AK) and the host Homer Mariners (Homer, AK), saw Kenai Central's basketball squad hold off Homer by a tally of 60-53.
With the victory, Kenai Central improves its record to 5-12 on the campaign. The Kardinals host Seward (Seward, AK) to play the Seahawks in a 3A Peninsula challenge on Friday, February 16. The Seahawks come into the challenge with a record of 14-4. Seward won 49-44 in their recent non-league challenge against Cordova (Cordova, AK)
Next up, the Mariners play the Grace Christian Grizzlies (Anchorage, AK) in a 3A Peninsula challenge, on Saturday, February 24. Homer will attempt to improve on its 6-13 season record.
