The Union Academy Cardinals basketball team (Monroe, NC), dropped 73-53 in Friday's non-league battle with the host Cuthbertson Cavaliers (Waxhaw, NC)

The Cavaliers now possess a 4-20 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Porter Ridge for a 4A Southern Carolina battle on Monday, February 19. Cuthbertson will battle a Pirates team coming off a 52-46 league loss to Sun Valley (Monroe, NC). The Pirates record now stands at 8-15.

The Cardinals (6-18) will now prepare for their battle against Albemarle (Albemarle, NC). The Bulldogs come into the 1A/2A Yadkin Valley battle with a 3-20 record. In their last battle, Albemarle dropped by North Stanly (New London, NC), 76-69, in a league battle.
