Minnesota High School Basketball - Minnewaska Area knocked off by West Central Area
February 16, 2024: Barrett, MN 56311 The West Central Area Knights basketball team scored 75 points and held the visiting Minnewaska Area Lakers to 55 in the Knights non-league triumph on Friday.
The Knights now sport a 19-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Benson for a A Section 6 contest on Tuesday, February 20. West Central Area will battle a team coming off a 84-53 non-league loss to Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta (Morris, MN). The record now stands at 11-15.
The Lakers (2-22) will now prepare for their contest against Melrose (Melrose, MN). The Dutchmen enter the non-league contest with a 13-9 record. In their last contest, Melrose was defeated by Montevideo (Montevideo, MN), 63-51, in a non-league contest.
