Wyoming High School Basketball - Thunder Basin nips Natrona County
February 16, 2024: Casper, WY 82601 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Thunder Basin Bolts (Gillette, WY) and the host Natrona County Mustangs (Casper, WY), saw Thunder Basin's basketball squad hold off Natrona County by a tally of 52-49.
With the victory, Thunder Basin improves its record to 10-10 on the campaign. The Bolts host Sheridan (Sheridan, WY) to play the Broncs in a 4A Northeast challenge on Saturday, February 17. The Broncs come into the challenge with a record of 15-5. Sheridan won 77-53 in their recent league challenge against Campbell County (Gillette, WY)
Next up, the Mustangs play the Kelly Walsh Trojans (Casper, WY) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, February 22. Natrona County will attempt to improve on its 14-5 season record. The Trojans come into the challenge with a 7-13 record after their 46-38 league loss to Cody (Cody, WY).
