Kentucky High School Basketball - Spencer County holds off Owen County
February 17, 2025: Taylorsville, KY 40071 The Spencer County Bears basketball team scored 71 points and limited the visiting Owen County Rebels to 70 in the Bears non-league triumph on Monday.
The Bears now possess a 17-9 record. They play next when they travel to Bardstown for a non-league game on Thursday, February 20. Spencer County will confront a Tigers team coming off a 85-62 non-league win over Marion County (Lebanon, KY). The Tigers record now stands at 14-7.
With the loss, Owen County falls to 18-9 on the campaign. The Rebels host Simon Kenton (Independence, KY) to confront the Pioneers in a non-league game on Thursday, February 20. The Pioneers enter the match with a record of 21-6. Simon Kenton won 68-46 in their recent non-league match against Highlands (Fort Thomas, KY)
