Kentucky High School Basketball - Owen County bested by Gallatin County
December 16, 2024: Owenton, KY 40359 Gallatin County Wildcats (Warsaw, KY) supporters left the game happy Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad run past the host Owen County Rebels (Owenton, KY), 64-49 in a league match.
With the victory, Gallatin County advances its record to 6-2 on the year. The Wildcats host Beechwood (Fort Mitchell, KY) to face the Tigers in a non-league match on Tuesday, December 17. The Tigers enter the match with a record of 4-0. Beechwood won 72-28 in their recent non-league match against Scott (Covington, KY)
The Rebels now own a 4-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Carroll County for a District 31 match on Thursday, December 19. Owen County will face a Panthers squad coming off a 91-54 league loss to Henry County (New Castle, KY). The Panthers record now stands at 1-3.
