Connecticut High School Basketball - New Britain held off by Southington
February 18, 2025: Southington, CT 06489 The Southington Blue Knights basketball team scored 52 points and limited the visiting New Britain Golden Hurricanes to 50 in the Blue Knights league triumph on Tuesday.
The Blue Knights now have a 11-4 record. They play next when they travel to Bloomfield for a non-league game on Thursday, February 20. Southington will confront a Warhawks team coming off a 60-55 non-league win over Bristol Eastern (Bristol, CT). The Warhawks record now stands at 18-4.
With the loss, New Britain falls to 8-9 on the campaign. The Golden hurricanes travel to East Hartford (East Hartford, CT) to confront the Hornets in a non-league game on Tuesday, February 25. The Hornets go into the game with a record of 16-5. East Hartford lost 92-53 in their recent non-league game against Windsor (Windsor, CT)
