February 18, 2025: Bethesda, MD 20817 The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Bethesda-Chevy Chase Barons (Bethesda, MD) and the host Whitman Vikings (Bethesda, MD), observed Bethesda-Chevy Chase's basketball team knock off Whitman by a score of 59-45.
The Barons (19-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Gaithersburg (Gaithersburg, MD). The Trojans come into the non-league challenge with a 6-12 record. In their last challenge, Gaithersburg dropped by Clarksburg (Clarksburg, MD), 57-37, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Vikings encounter the Damascus Hornets (Damascus, MD) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, February 21. Whitman will attempt to improve on its 13-7 season record. The Hornets come into the challenge with a 13-5 record after their 39-30 league win over Magruder (Rockville, MD).
