The Reading Rangers basketball team scored 50 points and restricted the visiting Maple Valley Lions to 49 in the Rangers league victory on Monday.

The Rangers now sport a 5-16 record. They put it on the line next when they host Homer for a non-league contest on Thursday, February 22. Reading will battle a Trojans team coming off a 55-53 non-league loss to Union City (Union City, MI). The Trojans record now stands at 5-16.

The Lions (9-12) will now prepare for their contest against Bronson (Bronson, MI). The Vikings come into the Big 8 contest with a 13-8 record. In their last contest, Bronson was nudged by Sturgis (Sturgis, MI), 46-41, in a non-league contest.
