Springport Spartans (Springport, MI) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Reading Rangers (Reading, MI), 62-36 in a league bout.

With the win, Springport upgrades its record to 9-4 on the season. The Spartans host Colon (Colon, MI) to clash with the Magi in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 27. The Magi go into the bout with a record of 5-6. Colon lost 49-42 in their recent league bout against St. Philip Catholic Central (Battle Creek, MI)

Next up, the Rangers clash with the Bronson Vikings (Bronson, MI) in a Big 8 bout, on Tuesday, January 30. Reading will attempt to upgrade on its 4-10 season record. The Vikings go into the bout with a 10-3 record after their 46-45 league win over Union City (Union City, MI).
