Connecticut High School Basketball - Naugatuck crushes Ansonia
February 2, 2022: Naugatuck, CT 06770 Naugatuck Greyhounds (Naugatuck, CT) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Ansonia Chargers (Ansonia, CT), 56-26 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Naugatuck upgrades its record to 4-7 on the season. The Greyhounds travel to St. Paul Catholic (Bristol, CT) to play the Falcons in a non-league bout on Friday, February 4. The Falcons go into the bout with a record of 10-3. St. Paul Catholic won 60-57 in their recent league bout against Wolcott (Wolcott, CT)
Next up, the Chargers play the Derby Red Raiders (Derby, CT) in a Naugatuck Valley - Brass bout, on Thursday, February 3. Ansonia will attempt to upgrade on its 7-7 season record. The Red Raiders enter the game with a 0-12 record after their 33-27 non-league loss to Wilby (Waterbury, CT).
