Naugatuck Greyhounds (Naugatuck, CT) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Woodland Regional Hawks (Beacon Falls, CT), 54-44 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Naugatuck upgrades its record to 3-2 on the season. The Greyhounds travel to Notre Dame Catholic (Fairfield, CT) to play the Lancers in a non-league bout on Friday, January 14. The Lancers go into the bout with a record of 7-0. Notre Dame Catholic won 61-38 in their recent league bout against Immaculate (Danbury, CT)

Next up, the Hawks play the Seymour Wildcats (Seymour, CT) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 14. Woodland Regional will attempt to upgrade on its 6-3 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 6-1 record after their 74-50 non-league win over Watertown (Watertown, CT).
