February 2, 2023: Kalamazoo, MI 49006 The Gull Lake Blue Devils basketball team (Richland, MI), was overwhelmed 72-46 in Thursday's league battle with the host Kalamazoo Central Maroon Giants (Kalamazoo, MI)
The Maroon Giants now possess a 12-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Renaissance for a non-league battle on Saturday, February 4. Kalamazoo Central will battle a Phoenix team coming off a 94-89 league win over Western International (Detroit, MI). The Phoenix record now stands at 10-6.
The Blue Devils (1-12) will now prepare for their battle against St. Joseph (St. Joseph, MI). The Bears come into the Southwestern Michigan - West battle with a 10-3 record. In their last battle, St. Joseph trounced Lakeshore (Stevensville, MI), 58-43, in a league battle.
