Michigan High School Basketball - Mattawan nips Gull Lake
February 24, 2023: Mattawan, MI 49071 Mattawan Wildcats (Mattawan, MI) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Gull Lake Blue Devils (Richland, MI), 75-69 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Mattawan upgrades its record to 16-3 on the season. The Wildcats host St. Joseph (St. Joseph, MI) to play the Bears in a Southwestern Michigan - West bout on Saturday, February 25. The Bears go into the bout with a record of 15-4. St. Joseph lost 65-59 in their recent league bout against Portage Central (Portage, MI)
Next up, the Blue Devils play the Parchment Panthers (Parchment, MI) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 28. Gull Lake will attempt to upgrade on its 3-16 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 15-6 record after their 61-39 league win over Lawton (Lawton, MI).
