The West Greene Pioneers basketball team scored 68 points and held the visiting Waynesburg Central Raiders to 37 in the Pioneers non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Pioneers now sport a 5-14 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Monessen for a WPIAL 1A 2 contest on Friday, February 3. West Greene will battle a Greyhounds team coming off a 72-40 league win over Jefferson-Morgan (Jefferson, PA). The Greyhounds record now stands at 16-2.

The Raiders (3-16) will now prepare for their contest against Washington (Washington, PA). The Prexies enter the WPIAL 3A 4 contest with a 12-4 record. In their last contest, Washington was routed by Yough (Herminie, PA), 45-41, in a league contest.
