Michigan High School Basketball - Athens overwhelms Bellevue
February 2, 2023: Athens, MI 49011 Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Athens Indians (Athens, MI) and the visiting Bellevue Broncos (Bellevue, MI), saw Athens's basketball squad wallop Bellevue by a tally of 57-25.
With the victory, Athens improves its record to 10-5 on the campaign. The Indians travel to Camden-Frontier (Camden, MI) to play the Redskins in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, February 7. The Redskins come into the challenge with a record of 8-7. Camden-Frontier won 28-13 in their recent league challenge against Tekonsha (Tekonsha, MI)
Next up, the Broncos play the Pittsford Wildcats (Pittsford, MI) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, February 7. Bellevue will attempt to improve on its 2-10 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 12-4 record after their 65-44 non-league win over St. Philip Catholic Central (Battle Creek, MI).
