Louisiana High School Basketball - Lafayette thwarts Acadiana
February 2, 2024: Lafayette, LA 70506 The Lafayette Lions (Lafayette, LA) basketball knocked off the host Acadiana Rams (Lafayette, LA), 55-40 in Friday's league test.
The Lions (20-2) will now prepare for their test against Southside (Youngsville, LA). The Sharks go into the 5A District 3 test with a 16-13 record. In their last test, Southside went down by Zachary (Zachary, LA), 69-58, in a non-league test.
The Rams now own a 10-16 record. They play next when they host Carencro for a 5A District 3 test on Tuesday, February 6. Acadiana will encounter a Bears squad coming off a 43-40 league loss to Sulphur (Sulphur, LA). The Bears record now stands at 11-16.
