North Carolina High School Basketball - Ashley ripped by Laney

In Friday's league match, the host Laney Buccaneers basketball squad scored a big 76-46 victory over the Ashley Screaming Eagle.

With the victory, Laney improves its record to 17-2 on the campaign. The Buccaneers host South Brunswick (Southport, NC) to play the Cougars in a 3A/4A Mideastern challenge on Tuesday, February 6. The Cougars come into the challenge with a record of 3-17. South Brunswick lost 68-32 in their recent league challenge against New Hanover (Wilmington, NC)

Next up, the Screaming Eagle play the West Brunswick Trojans (Shallotte, NC) in a 3A/4A Mideastern challenge, on Tuesday, February 6. Ashley will attempt to improve on its 5-15 season record. The Trojans come into the challenge with a 7-13 record after their 56-55 league loss to Hoggard (Wilmington, NC).
