The Laney Buccaneers basketball team scored 61 points and held the visiting West Brunswick Trojans to 47 in the Buccaneers league triumph on Tuesday.

The Buccaneers now sport a 7-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Ashley for a 3A/4A Mideastern contest on Friday, December 15. Laney will meet a Screaming Eagle team coming off a 58-36 league win over South Brunswick (Southport, NC). The Screaming Eagle record now stands at 2-4.

The Trojans (1-7) will now prepare for their contest against Hoggard (Wilmington, NC). The Vikings enter the 3A/4A Mideastern contest with a 4-1 record. In their last contest, Hoggard ran past North Brunswick (Leland, NC), 68-60, in a league contest.
