The West Brunswick Trojans basketball team (Shallotte, NC), was nudged 56-55 in Friday's league battle with the host Hoggard Vikings (Wilmington, NC)

The Vikings now possess a 12-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Topsail for a 3A/4A Mideastern battle on Tuesday, February 6. Hoggard will confront a Pirates team coming off a 76-56 league loss to North Brunswick (Leland, NC). The Pirates record now stands at 5-14.

The Trojans (7-13) will now prepare for their battle against Ashley (Wilmington, NC). The Screaming Eagle come into the 3A/4A Mideastern battle with a 5-15 record. In their last battle, Ashley was nudged by Laney (Wilmington, NC), 76-46, in a league battle.
