North Carolina High School Basketball - Hoggard crushes South Brunswick

Hoggard Vikings (Wilmington, NC) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting South Brunswick Cougars (Southport, NC), 76-51 in a league bout.

With the victory, Hoggard upgrades its record to 14-9 on the campaign. The Vikings travel to New Hanover (Wilmington, NC) to play the Wildcats in a 3A/4A Mideastern bout on Thursday, February 15. The Wildcats come into the bout with a record of 23-0. New Hanover won 81-46 in their recent league bout against West Brunswick (Shallotte, NC)

Next up, the Cougars play the West Brunswick Trojans (Shallotte, NC) in a 3A/4A Mideastern bout, on Thursday, February 15. South Brunswick will attempt to upgrade on its 3-20 season record. The Trojans come into the bout with a 7-16 record after their 81-46 league loss to New Hanover (Wilmington, NC).
