Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Sequoyah Chiefs (Canton, GA) and the visiting Etowah Eagles (Woodstock, GA), saw Sequoyah's basketball squad hold off Etowah by a tally of 68-61.

With the victory, Sequoyah improves its record to 15-9 on the campaign. The Chiefs host Creekview (Canton, GA) to confront the Grizzlies in a AAAAAA Region 6 challenge on Tuesday, February 6. The Grizzlies come into the challenge with a record of 8-16. Creekview won 55-54 in their recent league challenge against Rome (Rome, GA)
