Arkansas High School Basketball - Lavaca nips Westside
February 2, 2024: Coal Hill, AR 72832 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Lavaca Golden Arrows (Lavaca, AR) and the host Westside Rebels (Coal Hill, AR), saw Lavaca's basketball squad hold off Westside by a tally of 61-59.
With the victory, Lavaca improves its record to 17-9 on the campaign. The Golden Arrows host Hector (Hector, AR) to play the Wildcats in a 2A Region 4 challenge on Tuesday, February 6. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a record of 11-12. Hector lost 53-52 in their recent league challenge against Mansfield (Mansfield, AR)
Next up, the Rebels play the Oark Hornets (Oark, AR) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, February 6. Westside will attempt to improve on its 10-18 season record. The Hornets come into the challenge with a 1-13 record after their 47-42 non-league win over Deer (Deer, AR).
