Connecticut High School Basketball - Kennedy holds off Ansonia
February 20, 2024: Ansonia, CT 06401 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Kennedy Eagles (Waterbury, CT) and the host Ansonia Chargers (Ansonia, CT), saw Kennedy's basketball squad hold off Ansonia by a tally of 57-56.
With the victory, Kennedy improves its record to 6-13 on the campaign. The Eagles host Seymour (Seymour, CT) to confront the Wildcats in a Naugatuck Valley 2 challenge on Wednesday, February 21. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a record of 13-6. Seymour won 74-36 in their recent non-league challenge against Gilbert (Winsted, CT)
Next up, the Chargers confront the Woodland Regional Hawks (Beacon Falls, CT) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, February 22. Ansonia will attempt to improve on its 11-9 season record. The Hawks come into the challenge with a 9-11 record after their 59-53 league win over Watertown (Watertown, CT).
