New Mexico High School Basketball - La Cueva holds off Farmington
February 20, 2024: Farmington, NM 87401 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the La Cueva Bears (Albuquerque, NM) and the host Farmington Scorpions (Farmington, NM), saw La Cueva's basketball squad hold off Farmington by a tally of 52-48.
With the victory, La Cueva improves its record to 15-5 on the campaign. The Bears host Eldorado (Albuquerque, NM) to confront the Golden Eagles in a non-league challenge on Friday, February 23. The Golden Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 10-7. Eldorado won 72-59 in their recent non-league challenge against West Mesa (Albuquerque, NM)
Next up, the Scorpions confront the Piedra Vista Panthers (Farmington, NM) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, February 22. Farmington will attempt to improve on its 13-4 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 5-9 record after their 59-50 non-league loss to Sandia (Albuquerque, NM).
