New Mexico High School Basketball - Rio Rancho nips Volcano Vista
February 20, 2024: Rio Rancho, NM 87124 Rio Rancho Rams (Rio Rancho, NM) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Volcano Vista Hawks (Albuquerque, NM), 51-45 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Rio Rancho upgrades its record to 17-5 on the campaign. The Rams travel to Cleveland (Rio Rancho, NM) to play the Storm in a non-league bout on Thursday, February 22. The Storm come into the bout with a record of 12-8. Cleveland lost 51-40 in their recent non-league bout against Cibola (Albuquerque, NM)
Next up, the Hawks play the Atrisco Heritage Academy Jaguars (Albuquerque, NM) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, February 22. Volcano Vista will attempt to upgrade on its 13-1 season record. The Jaguars come into the bout with a 8-11 record after their 70-48 non-league loss to Cleveland (Rio Rancho, NM).
