February 20, 2025: Buxton, ND 58218 Devils Lake Firebirds (Devils Lake, ND) boosters left the game satisfied Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the host Hillsboro/Central Valley H-CV Burros (Buxton, ND), 73-44 in a league match.
With the victory, Devils Lake upgrades its record to 19-0 on the year. The Firebirds travel to Kindred (Kindred, ND) to face the Vikings in a non-league match on Saturday, February 22. The Vikings enter the match with a record of 19-1. Kindred won 56-48 in their recent league match against Wahpeton (Wahpeton, ND)
The H-CV Burros now sport a 6-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Thompson for a A Region 2 match on Saturday, February 22. Hillsboro/Central Valley will face a Tommies squad coming off a 72-54 non-league win over East Grand Forks (East Grand Forks, MN). The Tommies record now stands at 13-5.
