Connecticut High School Basketball - Thomaston can't hold off Nonnewaug
February 20, 2025: Woodbury, CT 06798 Nonnewaug Chiefs (Woodbury, CT) supporters left the game happy Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the visiting Thomaston Bears (Thomaston, CT), 60-58 in a league match.
With the victory, Nonnewaug advances its record to 8-5 on the year. The Chiefs travel to Shepaug Valley (Washington, CT) to face the Spartans in a Berkshire match on Tuesday, February 25. The Spartans enter the match with a record of 22-0. Shepaug Valley won 52-51 in their recent non-league match against Lakeview (Litchfield, CT)
The Bears now own a 16-6 record.
