The Newton County Cougars baseball squad (Decatur, MS), was overwhelmed 4-0 in Friday's non-league contest with the host Mize Bulldogs (Mize, MS)

With the triumph, Mize moves its record to 4-2 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Wayne County (Waynesboro, MS) to confront the War EaglesLady War Eagles in a non-league contest on Saturday, February 21. The War EaglesLady War Eagles come into the contest with a record of 2-1. Wayne County won 4-2 in their recent non-league contest against Taylorsville (Taylorsville, MS)

The Cougars now possess a 3-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Southeast Lauderdale for a non-league contest on Tuesday, February 24.
