Wisconsin High School Basketball - Washburn crushes Hurley
February 22, 2024: Hurley, WI 54534 Washburn Castle Guards (Washburn, WI) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Hurley Northstars (Hurley, WI), 61-25 in a league bout.
With the win, Washburn upgrades its record to 19-3 on the season. The Castle Guards host Abbotsford (Abbotsford, WI) to play the Falcons in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 27. The Falcons go into the bout with a record of 4-20. Abbotsford lost 67-54 in their recent league bout against Chequamegon (Park Falls, WI)
Next up, the Northstars play the Mellen Granite Diggers (Mellen, WI) in a Northern Lights bout, on Tuesday, February 27. Hurley will attempt to upgrade on its 13-9 season record. The Granite Diggers go into the bout with a 10-13 record after their 88-55 league loss to Solon Springs (Solon Springs, WI).
