February 23, 2024: Falls Church, VA 22043 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the James Monroe Yellow Jackets (Fredericksburg, VA) and the host Meridian Mustangs (Falls Church, VA), saw James Monroe's basketball squad hold off Meridian by a count of 63-56.
With the victory, James Monroe upgrades its record to 24-5 on the campaign. The Yellow Jackets host Booker T. Washington (Norfolk, VA) to play the Mighty Bookers in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, February 27. The Mighty Bookers come into the challenge with a record of 17-10. Booker T. Washington lost 65-39 in their recent non-league challenge against Lake Taylor (Norfolk, VA)
Next up, the Mustangs play the Lake Taylor Titans (Norfolk, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, February 27. Meridian will attempt to upgrade on its 22-4 season record. The Titans come into the challenge with a 23-1 record after their 65-39 non-league win over Booker T. Washington (Norfolk, VA).
