Alaska High School Basketball - West Anchorage topped by Service
February 24, 2023: Anchorage, AK 99507 The Service Cougars basketball team scored 63 points and restricted the visiting West Anchorage Eagles to 55 in the Cougars league victory on Friday.
The Cougars now sport a 13-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Chugiak for a 4A Cook Inlet contest on Monday, February 27. Service will battle a Mustangs team coming off a 62-39 league loss to Bettye Davis East Anchorage (Anchorage, AK). The Mustangs record now stands at 4-15.
The Eagles (10-7) will now prepare for their contest against Lathrop (Fairbanks, AK). The Malemutes come into the non-league contest with a 9-13 record. In their last contest, Lathrop was defeated by Houston (Big Lake, AK), 79-32, in a non-league contest.
