February 25, 2023: Merkel, TX 79536 Merkel Badgers (Merkel, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Monahans Loboes (Monahans, TX), 3-0 in a non-league challenge.
The Badgers now own a 3-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Big Spring for a non-league challenge on Saturday, February 25. Merkel will battle a Steers squad coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Cooper (Abilene, TX). The Steers record now stands at 4-1.
With the loss, Monahans falls to 4-5 on the campaign. The Loboes travel to Graham (Graham, TX) to battle the Steers in a non-league challenge on Saturday, February 25. The Steers enter the challenge with a record of 1-1. Graham lost 10-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Abilene (Abilene, TX)
