February 25, 2025: Blanchard, MI 49310 The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Sacred Heart Academy Irish (Mt. Pleasant, MI) and the host Montabella Mustangs (Blanchard, MI), observed Sacred Heart Academy's basketball team overwhelm Montabella by a margin of 49-16.
The Irish (16-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Fulton (Middleton, MI). The Pirates come into the Mid-State challenge with a 13-7 record. In their last challenge, Fulton was trounced by Alma (Alma, MI), 57-17, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Mustangs battle the Merrill Vandals (Merrill, MI) in a Mid-State challenge, on Thursday, February 27. Montabella will attempt to better on its 6-13 season record. The Vandals come into the challenge with a 12-8 record after their 51-41 non-league loss to Lakeview (Lakeview, MI).
