January 9, 2025: Merrill, MI 48637 The Sacred Heart Academy Irish (Mt. Pleasant, MI) basketball crushed the host Merrill Vandals (Merrill, MI), 48-25 in Thursday's league bout.
The Irish now possess a 8-0 record. They play next when they travel to Ashley for a Mid-State bout on Friday, January 17. Sacred Heart Academy will play a Bears team coming off a 62-46 non-league loss to Webberville (Webberville, MI). The Bears record now stands at 2-7.
With the loss, Merrill falls to 4-3 on the campaign. The Vandals host Michigan Lutheran Seminary (Saginaw, MI) to play the Cardinals in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 14. The Cardinals go into the bout with a record of 7-1. Michigan Lutheran Seminary won 52-11 in their recent league bout against Carrollton (Carrollton, MI)
