January 17, 2025: Breckenridge, MI 48615 Merrill Vandals (Merrill, MI) boosters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the host Breckenridge Huskies (Breckenridge, MI), 42-33 in a league match.
With the victory, Merrill upgrades its record to 5-4 on the year. The Vandals host Montabella (Blanchard, MI) to face the Mustangs in a Mid-State match on Wednesday, January 22. The Mustangs enter the match with a record of 4-5. Montabella won 58-53 in their recent league match against Vestaburg (Vestaburg, MI)
The Huskies now sport a 5-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Ashley for a Mid-State match on Tuesday, January 21. Breckenridge will face a Bears squad coming off a 69-32 league loss to Sacred Heart Academy (Mt. Pleasant, MI). The Bears record now stands at 2-8.
