In Tuesday's league test, the Sweetwater Mustangs (Sweetwater, TX) softball squad overwhelmed the host Merkel Badgers (Merkel, TX), by a tally of 9-3.

Next, the Mustangs clash with the Brewer Bears (Fort Worth, TX) in a non-league test, on Thursday, February 27. Sweetwater will attempt to advance on its 4-4 season record. The Bears go into the test with a 5-6 record after their 3-1 non-league win over Eagle Mountain (Fort Worth, TX).

The Badgers (1-1) will now prepare for their test against Bangs (Bangs, TX). The Dragons go into the non-league test with a 9-2 record.
