In Friday's league test, the Sweetwater Mustangs (Sweetwater, TX) softball squad got by the visiting Merkel Badgers (Merkel, TX), by a count of 11-10.

Next, the Mustangs meet the Clyde Bulldogs (Clyde, TX) in a 3A Region I District 6 test, on Tuesday, March 11. Sweetwater will attempt to upgrade on its 7-8 season record. The Bulldogs go into the test with a 12-3 record after their 6-0 league win over San Angelo Texas Leadership Charter Academy (San Angelo, TX).

The Badgers (2-4) will now prepare for their test against Grape Creek (San Angelo, TX). The Eagles go into the 3A Region I District 6 test with a 0-2 record.
