The Friona Chieftans trounced the visiting Smyer Bobcats baseball team by a count of 11-5 in Thursday's non-league challenge.

The Chieftans now own a 3-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Ropes for a non-league challenge on Friday, February 27. Friona will clash with a Eagles team coming off a 20-3 non-league win over Forsan (Forsan, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 4-2.

With the defeat, Smyer drops to 2-3 on the year. The Bobcats travel to Roosevelt (Lubbock, TX) to clash with the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Friday, February 27.
