Texas High School Baseball - Roosevelt prevails Friona

The Roosevelt Eagles baseball team scored 20 runs and held the host Friona Chieftans to 11 in the Eagles league win on Saturday.

The Eagles now own a 7-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Littlefield for a 3A Region I District 2 test on Tuesday, March 17. Roosevelt will play a Wildcats squad coming off a 7-6 league win over Muleshoe (Muleshoe, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 6-7.

The Chieftans (4-7) will now prepare for their outing against Shallowater (Shallowater, TX). The Mustangs come into the 3A Region I District 2 outing with a 13-2 record. In their last outing, Shallowater toppled Dimmitt (Dimmitt, TX), 12-1, in a league outing.
