Booneville Blue Devils (Booneville, MS) supporters left the game thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad topple the host Ripley Tigers (Ripley, MS), 16-4 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Booneville improves its record to 3-1 on the year. The Blue Devils travel to Alcorn Central (Glen, MS) to play the Bears in a 3A Region 1 game on Tuesday, March 4. The Bears enter the game with a record of 3-5. Alcorn Central won 5-4 in their recent non-league game against Wheeler (Wheeler, MS)

The Tigers now hold a 2-5 record. They play next when they travel to Center Hill for a non-league game on Saturday, March 1. Ripley will play a Mustangs squad coming off a 20-10 non-league loss to Senatobia (Senatobia, MS). The Mustangs record now stands at 0-3.
