Michigan High School Basketball - Universal Academy nips Star International Academy
February 28, 2023: Detroit, MI 48210 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Universal Academy Eagles (Detroit, MI) and the visiting Star International Academy Falcons (Dearborn Heights, MI), saw Universal Academy's basketball squad hold off Star International Academy by a tally of 45-42.
With the victory, Universal Academy improves its record to 5-8 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Westfield Prep (Redford, MI) to play the Warriors in a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 2. The Warriors come into the challenge with a record of 6-12. Westfield Prep lost 63-41 in their recent non-league challenge against Harper Woods (Harper Woods, MI)
Next up, the Falcons play the Cabrini Monarchs (Allen Park, MI) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, March 2. Star International Academy will attempt to improve on its 14-5 season record. The Monarchs come into the challenge with a 8-12 record after their 66-59 non-league loss to Parkway Christian (Sterling Heights, MI).
