The South Mecklenburg Sabres (Charlotte, NC) lacrosse triumphed over the host Porter Ridge Pirates (Indian Trail, NC), 16-5 in Wednesday's non-league outing.

With the win, South Mecklenburg upgrades its record to 1-1 on the season. The Sabres host Christ the King (Huntersville, NC) to battle the Crusaders in a non-league outing on Thursday, February 29. The Crusaders go into the outing with a record of 0-1. Christ the King lost 17-7 in their recent non-league outing against Charlotte Catholic (Charlotte, NC)

With the defeat, Porter Ridge drops to 0-2 on the season. The Pirates host Community School of Davidson (Davidson, NC) to battle the Spartans in a non-league outing on Monday, March 4. The Spartans go into the outing with a record of 2-0. Community School of Davidson won 14-1 in their recent league outing against Mountain Island Charter (Mt. Holly, NC)
