The Purvis Tornadoes baseball team scored 6 runs and held the visiting Harrison Central Red Rebels to 4 in the Tornadoes non-league win on Friday.

The Tornadoes now own a 8-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Oak Grove for a non-league test on Saturday, March 1. Purvis will play a Warriors team coming off a 4-1 non-league win over Madison-Ridgeland Academy (Madison, MS). The Warriors record now stands at 5-2.

With the defeat, Harrison Central drops to 1-6 on the year. The Red rebels host South Jones (Ellisville, MS) to play the Braves in a non-league test on Saturday, March 1. The Braves go into the test with a record of 3-3. South Jones won 11-2 in their recent non-league test against D'Iberville (D'Iberville, MS)
