February 3, 2023: Anderson, TX 77830 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Anderson-Shiro Fighting Owls (Anderson, TX) and the visiting Coldspring-Oakhurst Trojans (Coldspring, TX), saw Anderson-Shiro's basketball squad hold off Coldspring-Oakhurst by a count of 57-56.
With the victory, Anderson-Shiro upgrades its record to 7-23 on the campaign. The Fighting Owls travel to Shepherd (Shepherd, TX) to play the Pirates in a 3A Region III District 23 challenge on Tuesday, February 7. The Pirates come into the challenge with a record of 15-16. Shepherd lost 66-45 in their recent league challenge against New Waverly (New Waverly, TX)
Next up, the Trojans play the Trinity Tigers (Trinity, TX) in a 3A Region III District 23 challenge, on Tuesday, February 7. Coldspring-Oakhurst will attempt to upgrade on its 13-15 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 4-21 record after their 45-33 league loss to Tarkington (Cleveland, TX).
