Illinois High School Basketball - De La Salle holds off Loyola Academy
February 3, 2023: Chicago, IL 60616 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the De La Salle Meteors (Chicago, IL) and the visiting Loyola Academy Ramblers (Wilmette, IL), saw De La Salle's basketball squad hold off Loyola Academy by a tally of 50-46.
With the victory, De La Salle improves its record to 17-9 on the campaign. The Meteors travel to Oak Lawn (Oak Lawn, IL) to confront the Spartans in a non-league challenge on Sunday, February 5. The Spartans come into the challenge with a record of 18-7. Oak Lawn won 72-42 in their recent league challenge against Reavis (Burbank, IL)
Next up, the Ramblers confront the Providence-St. Mel Knights (Chicago, IL) in a Chicago Catholic - White challenge, on Tuesday, February 7. Loyola Academy will attempt to improve on its 20-8 season record. The Knights come into the challenge with a 3-20 record after their 75-25 non-league loss to Christ the King (Chicago, IL).
